..with the sound of an extremely enthusiastic BBC orchestra. Yes, in this week's arbitrary product listing/gossip tidbit/anything that comes to mind, I bring you news of Murray Gold's latest oeuvre- the second soundtrack, featuring the resounding musics of season three. According to a certain source the disc will see the light of day on November the fifth, just in time for season three synergy! It should prove to be a great release, with Murray Gold finally perfecting his emotive style this season. The dramatic strings and brass are still there, noticeably in his re-imagined Dalek theme and exhillerating Doctor's theme, but he's at his best with Martha's more choral and considered theme. A personal favouritve is the scarecrow's march musical theme and it'll be great to have Murray's newer, more electric tracks..like his Torchwood and 42 themes. If they're included, that is.
Most noteworthy and fan-anticipated is the rumoured new theme tune to be featured on the disc. Hopefully it won't deviate too far from his incredibly effective current version, but if it does and if it's just as competent, then no worries.
So, are people looking forward to this as much as we are?
